Abstract painter Garrick Arnold is working hard in his studio. “I've got these two pieces in the works and I do work on the floor primarily."
Complete with bare feet, it's truly an artist's workspace. "I'm doing a lot of scraping and splattering. These pieces of energy and particles filling the void. Particles. That's what I call 'em."
Garrick is getting pieces ready for a Pop-Up show at Bar Rione in Northwest Portland’s Pearl District. Co-owner Brian Schettini said it’s a show that fits right in. "Wine is an art in itself. I think they sort of speak the same language."
The pop-up show starts Sept. 1, 2022 and will run through the month.
